Refund Policy

This page explains your refund and cancellation rights for purchases on testwises.io. Please read carefully before you buy — by completing checkout, you confirm you have read and accepted these terms.

1. All Purchases Are Final — Immediate Digital Access

testwises is a digital service: as soon as your payment clears, you receive immediate, unlimited access to the practice questions, mock exams, and lecture notes for the plan you purchased.

At checkout you tick a mandatory consent box stating that:

  • You expressly request the supply of digital content to begin immediately, and
  • You acknowledge that you therefore lose your right of withdrawal (the 14-day "cooling-off" right) as soon as access begins.

This waiver is permitted under Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the equivalent provision of the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. After the consent has been given and the service delivered, all purchases are final and non-refundable, subject only to the limited exceptions in §3 below.

2. Monthly Auto-Renewing Subscriptions

  • You may cancel at any time from your account → Billing → Manage subscription (Stripe Customer Portal).
  • Cancellation stops future billing cycles. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Partial / pro-rated refunds for the current (already-billed) cycle are not provided.
  • It is your responsibility to cancel before the renewal date.

3. Limited Exceptions Where We Will Issue a Refund

We will issue a refund only in the following objective situations:

  • Service failure: the Service is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours due to our fault and we are unable to restore it.
  • Duplicate or accidental charge: a billing system error where you were charged twice for the same plan.
  • Unauthorised transaction: the payment was made without your authorisation (e.g. card theft). We may require police-report or bank documentation.
  • Material misrepresentation: we materially mis-described the Service before you purchased.

Outside these situations, refund requests will be declined. Reasons such as "I changed my mind", "I didn't use it", "I found a similar service cheaper", or "I finished the content quickly" do not qualify for a refund.

4. How to Request a Refund

  1. Email support@testwises.io from the email address on your account.
  2. Include: order date, plan purchased (e.g. "IMAT 3 months"), and the specific ground from §3 above.
  3. We will respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are issued via the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

5. Chargebacks

If you have any billing question, please contact us first — we resolve almost all disputes within 48 hours.

Filing a chargeback with your card issuer without first contacting us is a violation of these Terms and will result in:

  • Immediate and permanent suspension of your testwises account.
  • A chargeback handling fee of up to €30 / $35 / £25 (the cost Stripe charges us per dispute) added to your account.
  • Forwarding of evidence (consent checkbox timestamp, IP address, usage logs) to your card issuer to defend the dispute.
